At children's parties or celebrations like Halloween, we like to serve light and fun-looking food, such as these spiders made with cherry tomatoes, a recipe for children that can be prepared in a few minutes.

Decorating children's food is a good strategy when the child does not eat or does not like certain foods such as vegetables. Only with ingredients a few simple ingredients and imagination can you turn it into a game.

  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 potato
  • 50 gr. cheese spread
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Tips: Instead of using potato strips, you can use bagged “straw” type potatoes, or pretzel cookie pieces, carrot strips or whatever else you can think of.

1. Wash and peel the potato. Cut it into very thin strips, making cotton buds.

2. Heat oil in a skillet. When it is hot, add the potato strips and fry until golden brown. Take out, add a little salt and let them release the oil on kitchen paper.

3. Wash the cherry tomatoes well. Cut six or eight potato strips for each tomato. Make a small hole with a toothpick and carefully insert the potatoes.

4. Pick up some cheese with a toothpick and carefully paint the eyes on the top of the head. You already have your spiders!
