A source of carbohydrates and valuable ingredients

Colorful, fresh fruit and vegetables are a source of healthy, slowly digested carbohydrates. They cannot be replaced by any pill or syrup. Good quality products provide a large amount of fiber, plus vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients. If we care about fertility, we should choose colorful vegetables with intense color. Why?

Phytonutrients and fertility

The color of vegetables indicates the presence of phytonutrients. The more intense the fruit is, the more phytonutrients it contains. What does it matter? Huge!

The most famous photocomponent for example Beta-carotene decides to maintain hormonal balance and prevents miscarriages. Beta-carotene is also necessary for the corpus luteum, which produces the progesterone needed to maintain pregnancy. Some time ago, studies on cows were carried out which showed that cows lacking sufficient beta-carotene were susceptible to ovarian cysts and exposed to delayed ovulation.

Beta-carotene is found in yellow and orange vegetables (carrots) and fruits, as well as green leafy vegetables (lettuce, broccoli).

An equally important ingredient found in red vegetables and fruits (tomatoes, red peppers, watermelon) is lycopene. Scientists emphasize that it has a huge impact in preventing cervical and prostate cancer.

Another important ingredient is DIM (or diindolylmethane), which helps women and men metabolize estrogen. In this way, it protects against the formation of fibroids and endometriosis. In men, DIM, on the other hand, allows you to maintain harmony between estrogen and testosterone, often also by increasing the amount of testosterone. This ingredient can be found in cabbage, Brussels sprouts and kale.

While including fruit in blue-violet colors (berries, blackberries, eggplants, plums) in the diet we provide anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory effects. In turn, vegetables: onions, garlic - have antibacterial and antifungal properties, which has a very beneficial effect on the immune system.
